How did the L.U.C.A.S. Foundation get started?
The L.U.C.A.S. Foundation was created and implemented by Cinzia and Victor Tereso, parents of a Down Syndrome child named Lucas.
After several years of struggling to get the funding required for highly specialized and difficult to find programs for their Down Syndrome child Lucas, Cinzia and Victor decided they did not want other parents with Down Syndrome Children to have to go through such trouble.
